College Events

The Smith community comes together for events throughout the year. From the first Rally Day in 1876, to Julia Child Day and the Sherrerd Teaching Prizes, begun in 2004, the college's annual events honor our students, faculty and alumnae for their accomplishments; bring families to campus for a taste of college life; and give students an opportunity to learn, reflect or just have fun.

A Lasting Legacy

For the first time, the Smith community is celebrating Founder’s Day on Saturday, March 8—not only to mark the day Sophia Smith signed her will establishing Smith College, but in recognition of International Women’s Day.

Help us celebrate a legacy of knowledge, community, and generosity with a host of free activities including performances, lectures, and exhibits.
